Trip To My Best Friend's House!!

I was actually planning to visit my best friend(GP's) house for a very long time but for some reason or other i couldnt make it.Finally made it this week end.It was an awesome trip.

Me and two of my other friends malathy and hema were planning to visit geethapriya's house for a long time. This is my last week in my five year course. So thought if we leave this then it will be really tough to make it. I told her somhow plan before we leave for this vacation.So she booked tickets to and fro for this week end. But unfortunately malathy couldn't turn up.

We three of us started to neyveli on friday night. On the way thiruvannamalai is there and it was a chithra pournami(full moon day of chittirai month) so we got stuck up in that crowd.When we peeped out of the window the entire streets were flooded with people that too at midnight nearly 2' o clock.Then after that bus breakdown somewhere near neyveli.Then we took a town bus and reached neyveli around 7.30. Their house was really nice with 2 Dogs and a nice garden. I thanked god at that moment for giving me such a nice friend and her family.

Her father has made all arrangments and got permissions to take us to mines and thermal power stations. We started from house and went and saw the open-cast mines.There were huge machines and a person explained to us the working process. Then we went to thermal power station were we were so surpirsed to see that it is fully automated and they have the entire control in Computers. There we went to a height of 72m.We stood upstairs and saw full view of the entire power station. There was lot of security issues and it is not very easy to go in but we went with all comfort and its all because of her father.Then we went to a afforestation area this is nothing but already mined area is converted like this it seems.There we saw deer,lovebirds,duck and then we went for a boating there. Took lot of pictures as well.

Afternoon we came back home had a nice lunch prepared by her mom and then took rest and started to cuddalore in the evening to my another friend dhivya's house. I saw her house it was really nice.I have seen their garden and rose plants in their house in photos and was eagerly waiting to see that for so longer.Both her parents were really interested in gardening they have planted lot of trees and all flowering plants were so beautiful but to my bad luck all rose plants were not there because of this really bad hot summer.

Then all of us(me,hema,gp and her family and then T.Dhivya's parents) went to silver beach. All old people sat in the sand with our snacks and things. We four of us went to water and was playing and enjoying for more than half an hour got drenched so much.When we came out we saw a small fish near us in the shore.One uncle who came with us took a crab in his hand and we were all screaming. There were lot of crabs there. Then we came and had some snacks and then started playing for sometime so that our dress gets dried.Then we went to a anandha bhavan hotel and had super dinner. All of us ordered so much and of different varieties.Dhivya's parents treated us all but sad part is dhivya was not there.Then we went back to neyveli and slept really well.

Sunday morning all of us got up late then went to some temples nearby in neyveli then we went to natrajar temple(asia's largest) and villudayan temple. We were so tired that we cancelled our original pondicherry plans.Then took rest and packed our things to come back to bangalore.

It was a wonderful,memorable and an amazing trip...I Enjoyed it so much!!!!

          I was very happy when i heard that AR.Rahman won 2 oscars.After hearing his speech i have become a fan of him.He got the most prestigious awards in the film industry at a very early age.Inspite of all that he is very simple,devoted and down to earth person.In an award function at USA and in huge crowd of americans he told these words in tamil "ella pugazhum iraivanukke".I dont think there will be anyone who doesn't like such calm and composed personality.He made all of us feel proud.

Ten of his best compositions are

Appreciate a girl!!!-about an article or fwd i read recently

The Article
Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry her with these facts as well.
Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;
Who is earning almost as much as you do;
One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are;
One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements;
One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life; One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your familyname;
One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen;
One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more, and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;
One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities; Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won't, simply Because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise;
One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met;
One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important, relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her;
One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.
But not many guys understand this...... Please appreciate "HER"

This was the article.Guys who are reading it please dont think that i am blaming.it is what happening in so many women's life.I would like to add some more as well.There are so many problems faced by women.When a girl got married and entering into her in-law's house and something bad happened in the family unfortunately(say an accident or something) the society will blame her.The time when a girl enters the other family after her marriage is very important.The society will determine her luck based on this.I am not blaming the society.It is we who need to change this.So please everybody think about this in your mind.This is also faced by some kids when they are born.Nowadays even when noone tells anything they themselves feel they are unlucky.People should be always optimistic in their thoughts.Please understand whatever destined to happen will happen.So everyone should make a point that we shouldn't blame others.Always be happy and make others happy.

PG Life and week end cooking Experience

PG(Paying guest) is a very common one in bangalore.Most of the people who come to bangalore initially for work or for search of work will opt for a pg.I think there will be definitely 1 or 2 pg in every street in bangalore.That's a good source of earning as well.The reason why they take up a pg would be the very high advance for houses,difficult to maintain,need to cook everyday,need to take up so many responsibilities.So in this situation they prefer PG.The main advantage of PG is they will take care of everything food,facilities and other maintenance.
PG Life is altogether a new concept to me when i came for last semester internship @ bangalore.But this time i got used to it.The PG which we choose this time was much better than our last PG but a bit expensive too.I liked this PG life because of the fact that 4 of my friends are staying here with me and another 2 became really good friends after coming here.So it is a full time fun.The place will be filled with laughter.Though it's nice we still miss our college hostel life.over there there are thousands of people staying around.we knew most of them and chatting with different set of friends,juniors,seniors and so on.
In this pg they dont give food on week ends.So we started cooking here.All this started because one of our friend she doesn't like the food here.she stayed in the same PG even during last internship.She brought everything from home and has set the kitchen well with everything.
When we go out it is expensive as well as it is not good for health.I know cooking as i was in karaikudi for long time but i haven't done anything @ house since 2 of my grand mas' are there to help my mother.I also always put a scene as though i am studying and will never do anything.
But now i have started cooking and all my friends over here help me with all cutting and other work and the best help they are doing is giving me the full freedom of cooking which is more important for me.So far we have made vegetable biriyani and mushroom biriyani on many weekends.then our items include tomato rice,capsicum pachadi,potato fry,rasam and so on.Now that we started cooking all of my friends are trying out something or the other.One week end when i was not here.I challenged them and they won the game.they made excellent saambar and poriyal it seems.Though it is the first time for all of us.so far it is going good.we haven't wasted anything.
From this all of us realised the difficulties of a mother and perfect home maker.This will definitely help us in the future when we become a home maker.

Speciality of maargazhi maasam..

Hope everyone still remember all tamil months.maargazhi maasam starts at dec mid-14 or 15 and ends at jan 14 or 15.just before pongal.pongal is always on thai maasam 1 st day.Many people think that color kolam on house entrance has become fashion but that is not what it is actually!

       On maargazhi maasam there will be a special poojai called thiruppazhiezhutchi(meaning something like pazhi kondirukkum kadavul ezhundhrikrathu) they will do all abhishekam and deepa-aarathanai early in the morning.Timings varies from temple to temple but it will be definitely before 6.00AM.So all people used to get up very early in the morning take bath and go to temple.women in the house used to get up even earlier and clean the vaasal and mix cow dung in water and spread that and then put color kolam on this month only.This is what they follow in my place.

       The worst thing is the lowest temperature recorded in this month only.i dont know why they chose this month for this kind of early morning poojai and putting color kolam.But i think the concept is the godess will get attracted on seeing color kolam and enters into the house.

       In my house i used to enjoy putting all these color kolam that too new year(jan 1st)will come on this month.so i will get up very early and it will take nearly an hour to put a very big kolam and apply color for it.once u apply color all the outline will go off.so again its needed to give the outline.All together it takes a long time.To encourage this our local tv channel started organising a program for recording all the color kolam on house entrance and give prizes for the best three kolam in that locality. I had an opportunity to participate in that kolam competition and won third prize when i was doing my eleventh standard.When they organised it as a competition many people used to put kolam and decorate it with flowers and few scrapped some veg or fruits and add color on to it and spread that on the kolam.i tried on that crystal salt.Adding different color as required on the salt and dry it in sun the previous day itself and spread it on the kolam.I am very interested in all these kind of activities.but missing all that now.

         last time when i went home for christmas holidays my sister bought all that color kolam dried it in sun and kept in house ready for me.she is also very interested in this but since she is a small girl she cant draw a very big kolam and give color.so she wants someone to put in our house and she loves seeing that.It is been long since i put one.so i put the kolam which i learnt in my seventh standard and it is a very easy one and my favourite one too.so just i had a picture of it.thought of sharing it with u all.Peacock is drawn by my sister and the other one is by me.

Back to blogging after a long time

I started blogging when i did my last internship.now again back to blogging when doing my final semester internship.Again i got all the interest and motivation from seeing my seniors blogging.
There are lot of incidents that happened in the intermediate 1 year when i was @ college.

when we went to college after our 7th sem internship.it was very difficult for us to sit in classes,write internals and sem.it's always been difficult for us to come ontime to class as well.but somehow or the other we managed and enjoyed all the scoldings even.

Then we started planning for 15 days trip(most awaited trip).We had lots and lots of discussions abt the date,place and count for the trip.finally it all happened.(still seems to be unbelievable that we took nearly 10 working days off from college-record break).Last year this time we were all set for the trip(We booked for a travel agency from madurai,preperation of class t-shirt).I wish time could go back one year and again we can go for a wonderful trip. It was a very big project but went well organised.Space wont be enough to tell about the entire trip but i know that all of us are longing for yet another trip like this.we visited almost all places in north india(delhi-chandigarh-shimla-manali-amritsar-delhi-jaipur-agra).After coming back we shared all the photos and a DVD was made and given to all of us.The trip brought myriad moments of joy and will cherish those memories forever.

Then there was an alumini meet and after that there was a 1 day trip to silent valley in kerala.
we enjoyed lots and lot of interaction with our alumini.In the midst of all these we wrote some internals and sem exams.

Then the next semester started.all of us entered final year...finally!!! It's always the final years who will host this event LOGIN-inter college technical symposiyum.It's our turn now.All of us really had a tough time with preperations for various events.The event went really well and i cant forget the login dance this time(That was my first dance performance on stage).Then the login trip to ooty as well..but unfortunately i couldnt make out for that.(felt as though i misd a bumper)

This was the last semester for us in college so we enjoyed lots.played christfriend in class,went for class lunch to pizza hut,photo session(suthi suthi college la photo eduthom) and lot more.

Finally our subjuniors gave us a farewell @ deja-vu the same place as we gave farewell to our superseniors.We thought the farewell which we gave was the best but our juniors broke that.All of us were there for the farewell(all 38!!!)The gift which they gave to us was a very thoughtful one(A calendar with all our birthday).

Then it's time for semester exams(Final sem exam).we even enjoyed that time had lots of fun like class photo,dinner out and so on.

The most toughest thing was we need to leave the hostel where we had maximum fun and stayed together for more than 4 years.All of us are missing hostel now.

Now we have entered into a corporate life and all of us are taking responsibilities....

goodbye to all sincerity and studies.
goodbye to all ragging.
goodbye to all college fun(teasing and sleeping).
goodbye to all sem exams and maanga sessions during study hols.
goodbye to all trip and movies taking off from classes.

I am now feeling very proud and luckier to be a part of softies2k4(phoenix).Though it was a 5 years course.time just flew off.I have gained so many caring hearts.

Industrial Visit

I am just recalling the sweet memories of the industrial visit to bangalore and hyderabad in this blog.We softies at PSG Tech goes for an industrial visit once in a year.believe me it's absolute fun and enjoyment.
First year we went to HoneyWell bangalore.It was 2 days trip.We started by bus on the day we finished our 2nd sem exams. Our tutor Lakshmi Mam and Senthil kumar sir accompanied us.We were too tired to dance in the bus even to get up but lakshmi mam took the initiative by tht "kabadi kabadi" song from ghilli. there starts the enjoyment, then we saw the movie chandramugi with full commentry and teasing.first day we went to Honeywell,luckily or unluckily the person who was supposed to be giving us a seminar was not there.so just we went inside the company, visited all floors,took so many pictures and had a good lunch.Then we went to forum mall did some window shopping and then to iskcon a fully commercial temple from there we went to majestic circle and some shopping there finally back to hotel.The next day we checked out the hotel and went to lalbagh,since we were a big group we enjoyed lots there.then to brigade circle for some more shopping.From there we started back to coibatore.
In the second year somehow or the other we missed the industrial visit.but we compensated that enjoyment in the 3 yr iv.
Third year we went to hyderabad.One notable thing regarding this trip was we planned just a week before and confirmed only 3 days before the trip.All arrangements were made in a hurry with help of a travel agency. we went by train and it was a 4 days trip. this time our Amudha Madam(CG) and Senthil kumar sir came with us.First day we went to charminar-famous for bangles, Lasershow-can't forget the song they played abt hyderabad "old city,great city,big city", Imax-atmost fun in scary house and eat street for our dinner and back to hotel.The next day we went to BirlaMandhir-really nice temple, snow world-can't forget throwing snow on each other,enjoyed max since we went as a group and some people not comfortable with the snow went to museum.Then we went to koti bazaar-shopping there and back to hotel.Last day we went to Microsoft.We met our senior aarthi there.she gave us a small talk abt the company and work they do there.Then we went to the raliway station and got into a train to chennai.We had 5hrs break in chennai.we were split up and few of them went to spencers and rest to their friend's house and then all of us back to station and got into a train to coimbatore.
Highlights of the hyderabad trip:
Entire class went for the trip.
celebrated the batch day.

I hope and pray for another exciting industrial visit(most awaited 15 days trip!!)
